What we offer

Everything here is a reproduction from the archive of Peter Wirth (1951–2018), printed to order in the United States. The originals are not for sale.

One print, on paper

Hahnemühle German Etching, 310 gsm — heavy, matt, lightly textured, acid-free. Pigment inks. Every sheet carries a white border, and the artwork sits inside it at its own proportions, so nothing is cropped to fit the paper. Sizes: 8 × 10, 11 × 14, 12 × 16 and 16 × 20 inches, and 18 × 24 inches where the archive file carries it — all US standards.

One print, framed

The same sheet, in a narrow black wood frame — 20 mm face, 22 mm deep — with acrylic glazing and hanging hardware fitted. No mount: the sheet's own white border does that work, so a framed 16 × 20 is a 16 × 20 sheet, whole. It arrives assembled, in one box. Framing is offered up to 16 × 20. Several prints, as one wall

Sets of three, six or nine works that share a motif and a size, chosen to hang together. What holds a set together is the subject — one bloom seen head-on, a row of tulips, flamingos in movement — not a colour; within a set, what changes from sheet to sheet is the ground and the light. A set costs less than the same prints bought singly and ships as one parcel. Every sheet in it carries its own certificate. How to hang them.

What comes with every print

A certificate naming the work, the original behind it and your print, with a registration number recorded in our archive. It is issued in the name of Angelika Hannig-Wirth. More about the certificate.

What we do not do

We do not number editions, and we do not put a running count on prints. We do not enlarge with software, which is why not every work is offered in every size. We do not sign by hand — Peter Wirth died in 2018, and we would rather say so than let the question hang.
