Our commitment
Divine Editions is a small family business. We want the shop to be usable by everyone, and we treat accessibility as part of building it rather than as something added afterwards.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We do not claim to have reached that standard in every part of the site.
What the site does today
- Alternative text on images
- Keyboard navigation for interactive elements
- A clear heading structure for screen readers
- Color contrast intended to meet WCAG AA
- Responsive layout for different screen sizes and zoom levels
- Descriptive link text — no "click here" links
- Form labels associated with their inputs
- Skip-navigation links
What we have not done
We have not commissioned a formal accessibility audit, and we do not test with the full range of assistive technologies. Some of the site is built on a purchased theme whose code we did not write. We would rather say that than imply a level of testing we do not carry out.

This site runs on Shopify and relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA.
