Larger than 16 × 20 inches

Every print carries a white border, and the artwork sits inside it at its own proportions. Nothing is cropped to fit a frame. That border also sets the ceiling: on a 16 × 20 inch sheet the image area is about 12.5 × 15 inches.

How far a work can go is decided by its own archive photograph, one work at a time. For many works 16 × 20 is as far as the file goes at full fine-art resolution. Where it carries more, we offer 18 × 24 inches as a sheet — you will see that size on the work's own page if it is available. Framing is offered up to 16 × 20.

The archive was photographed between 2005 and 2016, with the cameras of those years. We could enlarge the files with software. We have chosen not to, because the result would be detail the camera never recorded.

Some works will become available larger as we re-photograph the originals. That will take months rather than weeks.
