Blue Ground · Three

Three chalk still lifes from 2007, and all three stand on blue. Four yellow pears in a dark dish on ultramarine; a single red apple behind a curtain of blue and white strokes; a white cup, a pear and a red apple on a blue table. The blue holds them together; the fruit gives each sheet its own note.

All three are landscape sheets in the same size. Hung as a row of three they need about 34 × 8 inches at 8 × 10 in, or 46 × 11 inches at 11 × 14 in, with 2 inches between the sheets.

Printed to order on Hahnemühle German Etching, 310 gsm, with pigment inks, in the United States. Every sheet carries a white border and the artwork sits inside it at its own proportions, so nothing is cropped to fit the paper. Each sheet ships with its own certificate and its own registration number.
