The Chalk Still Lifes · Six

Six chalk still lifes from a single stretch of work in 2007. Fruit in a wire basket, four pears in a blue dish, one red apple, a cup with a pear and an apple, yellow and red against a scribbled dark ground, and a crate of blue-black plums laid out like a grid. One hand, one palette, one year.

All six are landscape sheets in the same size. Hung as three by two they need about 34 × 18 inches at 8 × 10 in, or 46 × 24 inches at 11 × 14 in, with 2 inches between the sheets.

Printed to order on Hahnemühle German Etching, 310 gsm, with pigment inks, in the United States. Every sheet carries a white border and the artwork sits inside it at its own proportions, so nothing is cropped to fit the paper. Each sheet ships with its own certificate and its own registration number.
