Three square paintings of a single white tulip opened wide, seen so close that the petals reach the edges. On blue; on mauve and near-black; on deep ultramarine. The same flower three times, on three grounds.

All three are upright sheets in the same size. Square works are printed on the upright sheet, with a wider border. Hung as a row of three they need about 28 × 10 inches at 8 × 10 in, or 37 × 14 inches at 11 × 14 in, with 2 inches between the sheets.

Printed to order on Hahnemühle German Etching, 310 gsm, with pigment inks, in the United States. Every sheet carries a white border, and the artwork sits inside it at its own proportions — the whole picture, exactly as painted. Each sheet ships with its own certificate and its own registration number.

Open edition: every print is made to order. Where the artist's name appears on the sheets, it is a printed facsimile signature applied by the estate. This is a posthumous edition: the original works date from the artist's lifetime; the prints are made after his death in 2018.
