Pale Cloths · Three

Three of the veiled chairs from 1998–99, all in pale cloths before the same ground: blue above, a red field below. Grey-green, falling so low that only two dark legs of the chair remain; an almost colourless cloth whose folds all run to one point of light; sea green, gathered once at the height of the seat. The quietest three sheets of the group.

All three are portrait sheets in the same size. Hung as a row of three they need about 28 × 10 inches at 8 × 10 in, or 37 × 14 inches at 11 × 14 in, with 2 inches between the sheets.

Printed to order on Hahnemühle German Etching, 310 gsm, with pigment inks, in the United States. Every sheet carries a white border and the artwork sits inside it at its own proportions, so nothing is cropped to fit the paper. Each sheet ships with its own certificate and its own registration number.
