Red and Ultramarine · Three

Three of the veiled chairs from 1998–99, in the strongest colours of the group, hung red – blue – red. Red falling straight in long vertical folds above a turquoise plane; the deepest ultramarine, lying over the chair like a garment over shoulders; and red thrown across in one large triangle, the light passing through it as through silk.

All three are portrait sheets in the same size. Hung as a row of three they need about 28 × 10 inches at 8 × 10 in, or 37 × 14 inches at 11 × 14 in, with 2 inches between the sheets.

Printed to order on Hahnemühle German Etching, 310 gsm, with pigment inks, in the United States. Every sheet carries a white border and the artwork sits inside it at its own proportions, so nothing is cropped to fit the paper. Each sheet ships with its own certificate and its own registration number.
